PTA at QUMS

Welcome Queens United Middle School (QUMS) Families!

The Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) is thrilled to get to know you and your child(ren) during the upcoming school year. We look forward to building a strong sense of community and school pride with each of you through programming, fundraising, and brainstorming new ideas that will carry us through the middle school experience.

Queens United is the “Pride of Laurelton” and the PTA works very closely with Principal Francis and the School Leadership Team (SLT) to foster a family-oriented environment.  Over the years, we have been successful in hosting movie nights with a popcorn stand, themed dances, and other fundraisers, while supporting senior activities and educating families on high school preparedness.

Principal Francis has afforded our children the opportunity to receive free tutoring in core classes, free SHSAT test preparation, and so much more.  More importantly, the entire teaching staff and faculty work together to provide every student with the tools needed to meet and exceed New York State standards.

With a solid academic and caring social emotional agenda in place, the QUMS PTA host monthly meetings with guest speakers and workshops such as financial literacy, mental health awareness, anti-bullying, and more!

We encourage parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, older siblings, and guardians to join in our mission to make Queens United Middle School #1!!
